The amazing experience of Cisco GSX

Cisco Global Sales Experience (GSX) is Cisco annual event for the World-Wide Sales organization. GSX’s priorities are to enable the field in: Learning about the coming fiscal year priorities, strategy and future, growth opportunities and networking, attend the technical sessions and celebrate the achievements of the previous year by recognizing all teams and individual contributors. Also, is a good time to celebrate Cisco’s success and the best place to get motivated, inspired and prepared to rock and beat together the coming fiscal year.

Now I will proceed to explain and describe why is so awesome to work at Cisco and have the opportunity to attend this great event.

  • Learning about the coming fiscal year priorities, strategy and future

The message from our executive and senior leadership is pretty clear and during the event they shared with us where we need to put our energy and efforts, and what is the strategy and future of the company to achieve our goals in the short and long term.

  • Growth opportunities and networking

This is the best place to find the opportunities to grow and build networking because Cisco is a global company. You get to share with all the employees based around the world, meet your peers to socialize and spend good time with your team members that sometimes you only meet remotely because we only see by WebEx meetings/teams.

  • Attend the technical sessions

Oh mind! I canā€™t explain to you how much learning was going on. Learning directly from our experts and our Business Units (BUs) engineers all the innovation and crazy stuff we are building and doing around our different products/solutions/architectures is something that I canā€™t express in this post because it will take me days to write down all the notes I took from the sessions I attended. It’s exciting to know what is coming next and all the new products and solutions we are integrating and building for our customers across all architectures.

  • Celebrate the achievements of the previous year by recognizing all teams and individual contributors

Yes, we also celebrate the achievement of our teams and our individual contributors that every year work hard to be part of the top talent of the company for Sales Champion and Chairmanā€™s Club.

  • Best place to get motivated, inspired and prepared to rock and beat together the coming fiscal year

Yes, without any doubt this is the best place to get the motivation and inspiration to prepare to rock and beat together the coming fiscal year!

And last but not least is Cisco Social Responsibility. You will learn about all the things Cisco is doing to give back to those in real need. There were a lot of things going on to help, serve and support our communities and Cisco is a company that is always encouraging our employees to volunteer with the 5 Time2Give to match to any charity or foundation the money we donate and hours we work. Not many companies are so kind to help and support this kind of initiatives. This is the main reason why so many employees identify themselves with the Cisco culture!

Conclusion: In our last session GSX Shaq and Chuck took the stage to remember us to stay strong to become stronger. Don’t lose your mission and vision of execution so you can always stay humble. By jokes and funny moments, this was part of the conversation between both of them so we can keep in mind our focus doing what is working for us and our teams.
