I’m Rafael, a Dominican-born telecom and network architect working at Cisco, where I turn complex infrastructure into systems people can trust and ideas people can use.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, I grew up speaking Spanish and later made English my second language. I am naturally social and believe meaningful relationships are at the heart of great work. I enjoy meeting people, listening to their stories, and turning new connections into lasting friendships.
At Cisco, I am customer-centric, collaborative, and always ready to support customers, partners, and teammates. I believe work should be enjoyable, purposeful, and guided by ambitious but practical goals.
For more than 26 years, I have designed, implemented, configured, and troubleshot IP networks and mobility packet cores across enterprise and service-provider environments. I currently bring that experience to my work at Cisco.
My work spans Data Center and Cloud, Routing and Switching, Wireless, Security, NetOps, Programmability, and service-provider IP backhaul, with experience across Orange Dominicana, DgTec, T-Mobile, AT&T USA and Mexico, and now Cisco.
Above every professional achievement, my family is my greatest treasure. When I’m away from work, the place I most want to be is with my wife and children.
